[image] Hard to get good coverage with a light color primer but several thin coats gets you there in the end.

[image] I guess that’s it for my Austro-Hungarian siege mortar. If anyone has any ideas on how to make the figure look less like a Warhammer-figure I’m very much open to suggestions.. 😁 #JFFWWI

[image] Final shots of the siege mortar, Takom kit, Skoda 30,5 cm. Figure by Black Dog, dog by.. sorry, don’t know. Swedish basement firm. Bought it at IPMS Stockholm. Horrible kit but thoroughly enjoyed it still, especially the painting! #JFFWWI

[image] A coat of white down on top of the primer, think I shall need at least one more.. Then the masking begins. 😅

[image] Proceeding with the weathering on the siege mortar. Want to get a nuanced and worn overall finish. Chipping fluid over the primer and oil paint, then sprayed a two tone layer of dark and light German green, then chipped it off in areas of wear. Next up, flat coat to seal. #JFFWWi

[image] Ready to put some primer on the siege howitzer! Just dry fitted for now, will break down for painting. 👍

[image] Found a good view of the barrel and noticed a number of bolts not included in the kit. Mengs Nuts & Bolts kit to the rescue and 9 pcs of 0.8 mm bolts applied. 👍 #JFFWWI

[image] Got some bench time to work on my contribution to the #JFFWWI - a 30,5 cm siege howitzer from Takom. Pig of a kit to be honest but with a lot of filling and sanding and some cast texture applied it’s looking reasonable. Now, I need an Austro-Hungarian figure in 1:35th… 🤔
