[text] Today is a good example of why I think it’s hard to blame Blake Butera for the most part. After a game in which he showed his inexperience last night, his 2 best relievers just came in and crapped the bed to blow yet another late lead. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.

[text] That energy in the ballpark in the 9th was something that’s been too rare of an occurrence at Nationals Park and it’s beautiful to see. Can’t wait until this team is truly competitive again with a packed ballpark like the way it was in the 2010s, what an electric environment!

[text] This week has been a never-ending nightmare for the Nationals bullpen. It sounds dramatic, but if they lose this game, there is a very real chance we’ve seen the last time this team is over .500 for the rest of the year. Just a gut feeling, praying I’m wrong…

[text] July 1, 2021 As Dan Kolko just said on the broadcast, was the last time the Nationals were ABOVE .500 this late into the season… That’s something to marvel at, this organization is doing great things at all levels. It’s very fun to be a fan for the first time in a long time!
