This is probably the most iconic mushroom of all time 🍄
Fly Agaric or Amanita Muscaria is the classic red mushroom with white warts on it.
In Super Mario it’s the power up that makes you bigger and stronger.

That’s what we’re looking at today, Fairy Ring mushrooms or Marasimius oreades.
They’re a small well known mushroom that’s known to grow in circular rings.
They have a special sugar called trehalose that allows them to dry up | @FuzzyMycelium ✓ | 251 | 845 | 3.4x | 14 | Sep 20 |

Not gonna lie this one’s kind of a weird one.

Had to start the week off right with the Pink Oyster mushroom. The mycologist call it Pleurotus Djamor.
They’re mostly known for… you guessed it, the pink coral like color. It’s known to taste like seafood and/or bacon (which is super weird)

Took a little break from the species identification but we’re back today with Western Jack O Lantern or Omphalotus olivascens.
Similar to the Jack O Lantern we’ve previously covered except these are specifically found on the west coast of North America. | @FuzzyMycelium ✓ | 272 | 451 | 1.7x | 3 | Sep 26 |

We saw two phase 3s with a year long durability with just a few doses.
This is the first psychedelic that has a shot at a real approval. | @chubzxmeta ✓ | 4.2K | 383 | 0.1x | 13 | Sep 12 |
| 9 | [image] Th slime at the tip of these guys is what attracts insects like flies and gnats. They eat the slime and in the process help spread the mushrooms spores.
You don’t want to eat these guys and the smelll will probably deter most animals and people from them anyways.. | @chubzxmeta ✓ | 4.2K | 325 | 0.1x | 9 | Sep 17 |

Nothing fancy today, just another member of the Russulaceae family!
The Yellow Swamp Russula is considered a good edible when cooked thoroughly.
It’s got a bright yellow to orange cap with pale ochre-yellow gills that bruises slowly to a greyish/black color. | @FuzzyMycelium ✓ | 229 | 207 | 0.9x | 15 | Sep 9 |
