[text] TL;DR from Dubas presser. From what I gathered from it, at least: - Team needs to be a lot better defensively - Need mid-to-late 20's real difference maker players via trade (sounds like big game hunting is coming) - Geno staying seems likely - Mantha gone seems likely -

[text] Sidney Crosby is a grinder. Bryan Rust is a grinder. Rickard Rakell has shown to be a grinder. There’s no reason why this line isn’t together, battling pucks down low. Chinakhov plays a fast transition game, similar to Geno, there’s no reason why they aren’t together.

[text] Okay, time for some rambling: I had hope with how we played down the stretch. This team completely fell apart when they had to step up though, 1/9 periods they played well. It's over, tear it down, Dubas. Trade as many of Rust, Rakell, Karlsson, Novak, Girard as you can.

[text] I have seen or heard rumors of the Penguins trying to trade-up to get Viggo Bjorck from too many different places now, that it has to be true. If we manage to do it, I will go to PPG Paints and build the Dubas statue with my bare hands.

[video] Harrison Brunicke is a magician. Blows past defenders with elite skating, attacks the net without hesitation, and then drops a perfect dime. This is his 19th points since being sent down to juniors.

[image] Sergei Murashov has opened his playoff run strong: - 2 GP - 2.04 GAA - .932 SV% If he keeps this level of consistency, WBS has every chance to make a deep run.

[text] It might not be super obvious, but if you've been watching the WBS Pens game just watch #70 Mikhail Ilyin when he is on the ice, he is a great playmaker, quick, snappy, sometimes too fast for his linemates, would love to see him with someone like Ben Kindel.

[image] Just as a reference, this was 45 days ago. Nothing about the timeline has changed since then. Dubas told him don’t sweat anything and they’d talk in the summer.

[image] Broz is feeling himself these playoffs. Zonnon has only been here for these past 5 games and is tied for 5th on the team in scoring too.

[image] Mikhail Ilyin’s season in Russia comes to an end as Severstal is eliminated in Round 1. He led the team this series with 3G, 1A in 5GP, and wraps up his 2025–26 campaign with 18G, 31A, 48PTS in 73GP. Now available to join WBS. I can’t wait to see him play in North America.

[video] 2-point night for Fernström. After struggling earlier this season in the SHL, he’s been a completely different player since arriving in WBS. Confident, engaged, and making an impact every night. Now up to 2G, 6A, 8PTS in 9GP with WBS.
